About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop novel theoretical and practical AI/ML algorithms focused on human behavior modeling and video classification using deep learning.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and system programs for maximum efficiency.
  • Perform research tasks including the collection, recording, storage, and analysis of data according to defined protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed research records and ensure scientific integrity in data storage.
  • Communicate daily research progress through meetings and written reports to the research director.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary professional partners and optimize existing research methods and protocols.

Requirements

  • Master of Science (MS) in computer vision, machine learning, artificial intelligence, or a closely related field.
  • Strong programming skills.
  • Deep background in machine learning, computer vision, or human behavior modeling.
  • Specialization in areas such as supervised/unsupervised/self-supervised learning, large vision models, multimodal foundation models, or transfer learning.
  • Research experience in multimodal human behavior analysis, affective computing, AI for Healthcare, or multimodal machine learning.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Publications in top-tier machine learning or computer vision conferences and journals.
  • Research experience involving clinical applications (e.g., depression, pain).
  • Experience or enthusiasm for mentoring students.
  • Experience analyzing questionnaires and surveys.
  • Experience with grant proposal preparation and coordination.
