Research Assistant

Responsibilities

• Conduct research under PI supervision focusing on reinforcement learning methods for the control of physical processes.
• Develop and train reinforcement learning agents within simulated environments.
• Build and maintain simulation environments and reward formulations for RL experiments.
• Contribute to manuscripts, technical reports, and lab activities.
• Present research results during lab meetings.
• Document methods and results for academic publications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred).
• Proficiency in Python.
• Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks.
• Foundational knowledge of machine learning.
• Successful completion of a background check.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in additive manufacturing or physical process control.
• Previous experience in a research lab setting.
