About the role

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate programmatic engagements with the European Commission and the Partnership for Economic Inclusion (PEI).
  • Support the design and implementation of trial-and-adopt impact evaluation research projects.
  • Serve as a Senior Research Assistant and Data Manager for the PEI Impact Collaborative, leading the harmonization and documentation of survey and implementation data.
  • Conduct data analysis to prepare cleaned, analysis-ready datasets for pooled and meta-analytical work.
  • Draft and provide inputs for research dissemination, including policy briefs, blogs, presentations, and reports.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff and short-term consultants on data collection, monitoring, and analysis.
  • Participate in official missions and deliver capacity-building training to clients on impact evaluation.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in economics, public policy, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in impact evaluation, empirical research (experiments and quasi-experiments), and data management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Stata and/or R.
  • Proven experience in survey design, implementation, and analyzing complex surveys in developing countries.
  • Demonstrated ability to harmonize large, complex datasets and conduct pooled analyses.
  • Experience in micro-econometrics and managing multi-country research studies.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within EU member states, the Africa region, and other locations as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in French.
  • Experience with Python and geospatial tools.
