About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the writing and development of technical reports, policy briefs, grant proposals, and peer-reviewed publications.
  • Synthesize complex qualitative and quantitative data into clear, compelling narratives for academic, policy, and practitioner audiences.
  • Provide leadership in project conceptualization, development, and fieldwork implementation and management.
  • Perform sophisticated data analysis to support the Center's research agenda.
  • Research new proposals and secure contracts for grant-funded research projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, sociology, statistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of applied research and evaluation experience in an academic setting.
  • Advanced statistical skills and the ability to provide analytical and programming support.
  • Proven experience managing large research projects, including fieldwork and report writing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or post-baccalaureate study in public policy, data analytics, or program evaluation.
  • Proficiency in statistical programming tools such as R, Python, SQL, or Stata.
  • Experience with data visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience using qualitative data analysis software (e.g., NVivo, ATLAS.ti).
  • Demonstrated success in authoring peer-reviewed publications or policy-relevant research products.
  • Experience working with large, complex administrative or longitudinal datasets.
  • Background in mixed-methods research approaches.
