About the role
Responsibilities
- Support portfolio managers by conducting industry, company, and market research
- Perform financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, and liquidity analysis to support investment decisions
- Assist with credit analysis, including covenant review and the development of Penn Risk Recommendations (PRRs)
- Assist with equity research, including company analysis, identification of potential catalysts, and valuation work
- Monitor existing portfolio holdings and industry developments
- Prepare research reports, presentations, and supporting materials for the investment team
- Participate in research meetings and contribute to investment discussions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- Minimum two years of relevant experience in investment management, investment banking, equity research, or credit research
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with an interest in financial modeling and fundamental research
- Proficiency in Bloomberg and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Progress toward the CFA designation
