Research Analyst

Responsibilities

• Support portfolio managers by conducting industry, company, and market research
• Perform financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, and liquidity analysis to support investment decisions
• Assist with credit analysis, including covenant review and the development of Penn Risk Recommendations (PRRs)
• Assist with equity research, including company analysis, identification of potential catalysts, and valuation work
• Monitor existing portfolio holdings and industry developments
• Prepare research reports, presentations, and supporting materials for the investment team
• Participate in research meetings and contribute to investment discussions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field
• Minimum two years of relevant experience in investment management, investment banking, equity research, or credit research
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with an interest in financial modeling and fundamental research
• Proficiency in Bloomberg and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Progress toward the CFA designation
