Requirements Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support and perform requirements elicitation through workshops, interviews, and document analysis
• Create and maintain clear, complete, consistent, and testable requirements
• Structure requirements according to defined hierarchy and support decomposition
• Manage requirements within defined tools and repositories ensuring data quality and versioning
• Maintain bi-directional traceability between stakeholder needs and verification artifacts
• Support change handling activities including impact analysis and updating baselines
• Apply quality criteria and participate in reviews and audits to identify gaps
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, testers, and external partners
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of requirements management methods and tools

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or similar
• 8+ years of experience in requirements engineering or related roles
• Proficiency with Codebeamer and structured development processes
• Strong analytical and structuring skills
• High attention to detail and quality orientation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work onsite 4-5 days per week in Charlotte, NC

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Codebeamer, JAMA, or Flow
• Automotive embedded software development lifecycle experience
• Domain experience in Body controllers, ADAS, Propulsion, or Infotainment
• Experience handling complex multi-domain system requirements
• Skilled in managing agile and V-model based projects
• Knowledge of regulatory and governing bodies legislation
