About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform front desk operations including greeting patients, answering phones, and checking in visitors.
  • Manage financial tasks such as verifying insurance, collecting co-pays, and processing payments.
  • Conduct patient education sessions regarding contraception, services, and informed consent.
  • Perform laboratory duties including blood collection, specimen preparation, and basic testing following CLIA and OSHA standards.
  • Assist with patient care by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and preparing examination rooms.
  • Support ultrasound services by verifying physician orders and assisting with patient scans.
  • Maintain clinical environments by sterilizing instruments, operating autoclaves, and stocking surgical supplies.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and Saturdays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Program certification such as Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Phlebotomy Technician.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Prior working knowledge of the EPIC EHR system.
  • Certified sonogram technician credentials.
