Reporter, Rural and Regional

Responsibilities

• Create distinctive rural and regional stories for all ABC platforms
• Identify, develop, and deliver content that reflects the diversity of the local community
• Engage with local communities to uncover relevant and impactful stories
• Contribute innovative ideas to planning and commissioning processes
• Develop content that can be shared across the ABC network nationally
• Support local emergency coverage and communicate with stakeholders as required

Requirements

• Proven experience sourcing, researching, and delivering high-quality news content
• Strong understanding of rural and regional issues and audiences
• Demonstrated ability to create engaging content across multiple platforms
• Possession of a current and valid Driver’s Licence
• Willingness and flexibility to travel to remote locations
