Responsibilities

• Produce engaging news content including bulletins, interviews, Q&As, and packages across digital, audio, and broadcast platforms
• Identify, develop, and deliver original stories relevant to local and national audiences
• Contribute to editorial planning and commissioning processes to maximize reach and engagement
• Deliver breaking news coverage and support emergency broadcasting as required
• Build strong relationships with local communities to uncover meaningful and diverse stories

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience sourcing, producing, and presenting high-quality news content
• Strong editorial judgment and a drive to tell authentic Australian stories
• Proven ability to create engaging, multi-platform content
• Strong understanding of local audience issues and the ability to maintain valuable contacts

• Base salary of $84K - $94K plus 15.4% ABC Nominated Super
