Reporter/MSJ

Responsibilities

• Pitch engaging, exclusive, and source-driven stories
• Identify, write, and produce stories under tight deadlines
• Perform authoritative and compelling live shots for linear broadcasts and streaming
• Meet and develop sources to beat the competition
• Write solid scripts based on strong reporting, research, and documentation
• Write web stories and produce mobile shorts tailored for digital platforms
• Attend daily editorial meetings and contribute story ideas

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience
• 3-5 years of reporting experience preferred
• Documented ability to shoot video, light subjects, collect clean sound, and edit under deadline
• Strong news judgment, communication skills, and ethical decision-making
• Proficiency in social and digital content creation
• Ability to handle live breaking news and changing events calmly
• Experience with ENPS, EDIUS, or Axis graphics is preferred
• Ability to work in a full-time, hourly, and Union-represented role
