Reporter

Responsibilities

• Plan, gather, and assemble stories for day-of news or special project assignments
• Conduct compelling live reporting and develop unique enterprise angles
• Work with photographers to gather and edit high-quality video and sound
• Develop and maintain a network of sources to uncover breaking news
• Contribute pictures, video, and text updates to mobile platforms throughout the day
• Coordinate with news managers and producers to ensure high-quality newscast production
• Maintain unwavering journalistic integrity and ethical standards

Requirements

• 2-5 years of professional reporting experience
• Strong writing, storytelling, and live reporting skills
• Ability to operate mobile transmission devices and utilize latest news technology
• Valid driver's license and a clear driving record
• Ability to work varied shifts, including overnights and weekends
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to manage the stresses of time-sensitive news production
