Reporter

Responsibilities

• Plan, gather, and assemble stories for day-of news or special project assignments
• Work with photographers to gather and edit compelling video and captivating sound
• Develop a network of sources to provide tips and early access to information
• Coordinate with news managers to develop stories with unique enterprise angles and exclusive content
• Contribute pictures, video, and text updates to mobile platforms consistently throughout the day
• Perform compelling live shots and bring energy to the anchor desk
• Maintain unwavering journalistic integrity and ethical standards

Requirements

• 2-5 years of past reporting experience required
• A demo reel must be included with your application (applicants without a demo will not be considered)
• Strong writing and storytelling skills
• Ability to work varied shifts, including overnights and weekends
• Valid driver’s license and a clear driving record
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to operate mobile transmission devices and use latest technology
• Bilingual skills are a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Equivalent military training from Defense Information School (DINFOS) and associated experience
