Repairs Controller

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize end-to-end processes for aircraft component repair and vendor management to ensure cost-efficient support.
• Review and action repair quotations for aircraft components in accordance with existing contracts and Product Support Agreements.
• Manage the processing of unserviceable components to external repair stations and vendors for repair and overhaul.
• Monitor and control repair costs to achieve budgetary goals and challenge vendors on quotations to drive efficiency.
• Manage in-house repair capabilities and maintain effective communication with internal workshops, maintenance planning, and procurement.
• Coordinate with Engineering Procurement to identify repairs requiring new contracts or contract renewals.
• Organize and manage the shipping and logistics of aircraft parts, engines, and APUs to suppliers.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for repair stations to ensure optimal Turn Around Times (TAT).
• Implement processes for daily review of nil stock components to prevent AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations.

Requirements

• Degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering, LAME, or a Technical Diploma.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in aircraft component repair or procurement.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel.
• Familiarity with airworthiness regulations including GCAA, FAA, and EASA.
• Essential familiarity with the Amos system.
• Strong knowledge of managing supplier performance and setting KPIs.
• Ability to interpret repair contracts, IPCs, CMMs, and shop reports.
