About the role
Responsibilities
- Repair and diagnose electric and gas drive welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, STICK, and plasma cutters
- Work with electrical voltages up to 440 volt AC and 900 volts DC
- Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper, safe, and efficient operation
- Diagnose, service, and repair electrical, mechanical, and engine-driven equipment
- Attend service training certification schools to stay updated on warranties and the latest technologies
Requirements
- Post-secondary technical education (equivalent to a one-year technical college program)
- 1-3+ years of related electrical and mechanical experience
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work in a shop environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong electrical and mechanical background
- Working knowledge of positioning equipment and welding applications
