Repair Technician

Responsibilities

• Repair and test strapping tools to meet manufacturer specifications
• Diagnose tool operating problems and analyze repair issues
• Disassemble units, clean components, and check for defective parts
• Manage work orders and enter repair information into the computer system
• Prepare repair estimates for customer approval when costs exceed 50% of a new tool
• Perform final assembly and testing of repaired tools
• Package tools and packing slips for shipment
• Use pneumatic test equipment, power tools, and electronic tensile test fixtures
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area following all safety rules

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• 2 years of mechanical, technical troubleshooting, or assembly background preferred
• Mechanical aptitude for diagnosing pneumatic, hydraulic, and battery-operated tooling
• Strong troubleshooting skills
