Repair Maintenance Technician - Plating

Responsibilities

• Maintain the continuous operation of plating strip lines and barrel lines
• Perform daily scheduled preventative maintenance and document findings in the work order system
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Monitor and assist with the operation of the wastewater treatment system
• Maintain, clean, and repair special tooling and fabricate spare parts as needed
• Ensure waste by-products are properly drummed, labeled, and stored according to legal requirements

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical experience in a large-volume manufacturing environment
• Strong electrical experience is required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with heavy chemical drums using a dolly
• Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical, plumbing, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in environments with chemical and noise exposure

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-year or 4-year Electrical or Mechanical Engineering/Technical degree
• Experience troubleshooting or programming PLCs
