About the role
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex gas turbine blades, vanes and additional parts based on real operation data and inspection findings
- Simulate multiple damage mechanisms using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to determine remaining useful life
- Lead interdisciplinary small teams to develop improved designs and update 3D CAD models
- Validate and enhance analysis methodology and design philosophies to generate cost savings
- Determine and manage risks based on statistical models and support customer meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 8+ years of professional experience
- Proficiency in creating CAD models and analyzing FEA models
- Familiarity with fracture mechanics and programming languages
- Project management experience
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
