Repair Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop work instructions, repair shop routers, inspection packages, and quality plans for engineered-to-order turbomachinery.
• Provide engineering assessments and dispositions for compromised equipment in coordination with subject matter experts.
• Collaborate with production supervisors and leadsmen to ensure adherence to specifications and procedures during all project phases.
• Support the resolution of customer technical issues to provide effective solutions within schedule requirements.
• Contribute to digitalization efforts, such as 3-D scanning and digital inspection programs, to enhance shop operations.
• Develop accurate reports and organize engineering records to maintain and update fleet data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent field.
• Minimum of 3 years of working experience in the oil & gas or power generation service industry.
• Fundamental knowledge of turbomachinery theory and standard repair principles.
• Familiarity with machining and mechanic operations, including ASME and API industry standards.
• Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to be resourceful in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and technical writing skills.
