Renovation Estimator

Responsibilities

• Translate third-party inspection reports and assessment artifacts (video, photos) into detailed, line-item renovation scopes.
• Evaluate defects and determine necessary repairs to optimize home resale value.
• Apply repair standards and negotiated pricing to all renovation line items.
• Partner with Pricing teams to incorporate upgrade requests and market demand signals into work scopes.
• Collaborate with Home Project Managers to validate scopes and adjust for site conditions post-acquisition.
• Monitor estimate vs. actual variance and propose calibrations to unit costs and scope rules.
• Maintain high standards for documentation, including assumptions, quantities, and takeoffs.

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of residential renovation or construction estimating experience.
• Proven expertise in takeoffs and scope development across core trades (interior finishes, roofing, HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and estimating templates, including standardized cost libraries.
• Familiarity with home construction standards and third-party inspection reports.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills for collaborating in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
