Renewable Energy Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on utility-scale solar and BESS systems
• Implement firmware updates and module replacement
• Execute hot/cold commissioning and troubleshoot system issues
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs
• Safely perform battery charge/discharge cycles
• Follow all Health and Safety policies, including LOTO plans and electrical work permits
• Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
• Complete quality assurance inspections and daily digital reporting
• Participate in on-call weekend services on a rotating schedule

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Electrical and mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Ability to lift 75lb
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
• Ability to travel throughout the US
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and extreme temperatures
• Proficiency with mobile apps and Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

• State certified Journeyman license
• SMA PCS Preventive & Corrective Maintenance certification
• Experience with Powin batteries
• Post-secondary education in electrical or mechanical fields
