Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with individuals according to agreed standards and procedures
• Access and update records in keeping with guidelines
• Provide a safe and protective environment by complying with health, safety, and security procedures
• Manage medication and report accidents or incidents appropriately
• Support service users in daily living and provide personal care where necessary
• Promote well-being, choice, dignity, and respect
• Assist service users in developing and maintaining social networks and relationships
• Encourage service users to develop skills to live as independently as possible
• Participate in the development, implementation, and review of personal plans
• Support service users through significant life changes or loss

Requirements

• Experience with night work
• Experience with lone working in a care setting
• Empathy and care for others
• Ability to work within internal control systems to facilitate service improvement
