Relief Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site
• Monitor CCTV, fire alarms, and intruder alarms
• Conduct internal and external security patrols
• Manage site keys and locking/unlocking duties
• Control vehicle access and parking arrangements
• Maintain accurate records and logbooks
• Report suspicious activity, security breaches, and incidents
• Support staff, visitors, and contractors on site
• Promote a safe and secure working environment
• Report hazards, faults, and unsafe practices
• Follow emergency response procedures

Requirements

• Valid SIA Licence
• Right to work in the UK
• British nationality and UK residency for the last 5 years
• Aged 18 or over
• 5-year checkable employment history
• No current criminal convictions
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays
• Ability to travel between multiple sites

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Relief Security Officer or Security Officer
• First Aid qualification
• Full UK driving licence and access to own transport
• Experience in customer-facing roles
• Knowledge of CCTV and access control systems
