Relief Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Control access to the site, monitor CCTV and alarm systems, and prevent unauthorised entry
• Carry out regular internal and external security patrols
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and security breaches
• Report and record safety hazards, security concerns, and suspicious activities
• Manage keys, access passes, and other site security equipment
• Support Health & Safety compliance and promote safe working practices
• Complete accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation
• Conduct stop and search procedures and operate radios and security systems
• Deliver exceptional customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors
• Safeguard company property, assets, and information
• Assist with emergency procedures and maintain safety resources

Requirements

• Valid SIA Licence
• Right to work in the UK
• Age 18+
• Five-year checkable work history
• No criminal convictions
• Flexible availability including days, nights, and weekends
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Valid UK driving licence and vehicle (desirable)
• Previous security officer experience (preferred)
• First Aid qualification
