Relief Resident Support Worker

Responsibilities

• Handle resident admission, orientation, and evaluation processes according to established policies
• Conduct respectful intake interviews and assist with basic goal setting
• Monitor facility traffic and verify resident identification to ensure safety
• Provide mediation for resident conflicts to prevent or resolve altercations
• Perform administrative tasks including maintaining logbooks, occurrence reports, and program documentation
• Support facility cleanliness through light housekeeping and laundry assistance
• Liaise with internal teams and external agencies such as police or emergency services when necessary
• Maintain accurate daily and monthly program statistics and resident files

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
• Current Standard First Aid with Level A or C CPR
• Demonstrated experience in trauma-informed care and de-escalation techniques
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook) and general computer databases
• Experience in frontline social service settings
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and handle physical demands such as standing for long periods
