About the role

Responsibilities

  • Handle resident admission, orientation, and intake interviews
  • Monitor incoming traffic and verify resident identification to ensure safety
  • Provide mediation in resident conflicts and utilize de-escalation techniques
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, occurrence reports, and program documentation
  • Perform light housekeeping and assist with laundry or food hamper distribution
  • Liaise with internal teams and external agencies such as police or emergency services
  • Monitor resident medication and tools in accordance with established policies

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
  • Current Standard First Aid with CPR (Level A or C)
  • Demonstrated experience in trauma-informed care and de-escalation
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Outlook) and database familiarity
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks like lifting belongings
