Relief Operator

Responsibilities

• Provide operational relief for production, filling, and packaging positions during meal and rest periods
• Safely operate production packaging and filling equipment, including fiber gluer and taping equipment
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) strictly
• Perform quality assurance tasks such as collecting product samples and conducting seal integrity testing
• Generate pallet identification labels and validate product case codes
• Complete production records, break relief reports, and other required documentation accurately
• Perform equipment change-overs, clean-up operations, and routine equipment adjustments
• Operate lift trucks safely and perform product reclaim/rework operations
• Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to all occupational health and safety procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in food manufacturing (dairy experience preferred)
• Strong mathematical and technical skills, including the ability to operate equipment touch panels
• Proficiency with MS Excel and ERP applications (SAP experience is a plus)
• Lift truck certification or the ability to obtain certification
• Ability to lift 45-50 lbs frequently and work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Flexibility to work various shifts (days, swing, or night) and weekends in a 24/7 facility

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced quality or food safety training and/or certifications
