About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute validation and reliability test plans for electromechanical and integrated systems
  • Design and build test setups, fixtures, instrumentation, and data collection systems
  • Support environmental, functional, durability, vibration, thermal, and lifecycle testing
  • Work with Mechanical, Electrical, Embedded Software, and Systems Engineering teams
  • Operate and troubleshoot lab equipment including DAQ systems, power supplies, and oscilloscopes
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret test data to identify trends and failure modes
  • Support root cause investigations and failure analysis activities
  • Develop automated test scripts and data processing tools using Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW
  • Document test procedures, results, and findings
  • Participate in design reviews to provide feedback on testability and reliability

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering
  • 5-8 years of experience in hardware test, validation, reliability, or systems integration
  • Hands-on experience with electromechanical system test campaigns
  • Experience with instrumentation, DAQ systems, and sensors
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware failures and root cause investigation
  • Strong understanding of mechanics, thermal systems, electronics, or controls
  • Ability to analyze and communicate technical data clearly

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with vibration, thermal cycling, humidity, or shock testing
  • Background in aerospace, automotive, robotics, or defense industries
  • Familiarity with DO-160, MIL-STD-810, or IEC standards
  • Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW for automation
  • Experience with HIL, SIL, or integrated system-level test environments
  • Exposure to electric propulsion, power electronics, or batteries
