About the role
Responsibilities
- Enhance asset availability, reliability, and cost efficiency by optimizing maintenance strategies and improving work quality.
- Manage, catalogue, and update technical maintenance documentation, including specifications and operational processes.
- Identify best practices and define maintenance key variables and technical standards.
- Analyze equipment data and history records to identify improvement opportunities and participate in cause-failure analysis.
- Propose and optimize maintenance strategies, including criticality analysis and spare parts level optimization.
- Perform audits of preventive and corrective activities to ensure high-quality execution.
- Support the specification, procurement, and installation of new assets or upgrades in collaboration with the Engineering department.
- Contribute technical expertise to the analysis and resolution of complex issues within the mill.
- Participate in plant investment planning and the homologation process for new supplies and services.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Maintenance Reliability role.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in steel manufacturing or a similar industrial environment.
- Post-secondary degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with manufacturing environment safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with SAP.
- Previous experience in Project Management.
