About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the site's reliability program with a focus on early defect detection and elimination.
  • Manage the plant's Mechanical Integrity Reliability Program, including maintenance standards for lubrication, vibration, and alignment.
  • Utilize KPI reports and SAP historical logs to identify underperforming processes and implement asset management strategies.
  • Apply Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) to improve plant performance.
  • Optimize maintenance strategies for critical rotating assets to improve MTBF and MTTR.
  • Support the site OEE program and maintain the equipment "Bad Actors" list.
  • Assist in the development of technical training for technicians regarding machinery lubrication, vibration analysis, and pump maintenance.
  • Oversee the site's piping mechanical integrity program and review welding procedures and NDT reports.
  • Participate in the development and execution of shutdown timelines to ensure critical reliability tasks are completed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5 to 12 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with chemical processing industry equipment.
  • Proven team leadership and small project management skills.
  • Experience in developing project concepts, premises, and economic justifications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP PM.
  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification/experience.
  • Hands-on field machinery expertise.
