Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain test plans for new product development and sustaining engineering
• Perform product validation and verification using off-the-shelf and custom test equipment
• Manage ODM/OEM and third-party labs to complete testing tasks
• Design, build, and automate custom test rigs and fixtures for exercise equipment
• Deliver validation status and results to cross-functional teams
• Summarize validation results with field failure rate estimation
• Collaborate with NY and Seattle teams via regular calls
• Perform preliminary root cause and failure analysis
• Utilize statistical tools to compile results for real-world application
• Standardize test documentation, procedures, schematics, and software programs
• Ensure safety protocols and maintain lab equipment and inventory

Requirements

• 1-3+ years of systematic product testing experience
• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (M.S. preferred)
• Excellent communication skills in Chinese and English
• 3D modeling skills in SolidWorks and ability to read/create mechanical drawings

Preferred Qualifications

• Statistical analysis experience with Python, R, or Minitab
• Automation skills in LabVIEW or PLC programming
• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and PLM systems (Windchill)
• Six Sigma certification
• National Instruments LabVIEW certification (CLAD, CLD, CLA)
