About the role
Responsibilities
- Implement a multi-year Reliability Improvement Plan and Equipment Maintenance Strategies using reliability technology and tools.
- Conduct criticality screening and risk analysis to identify critical and Balance of Plant (BOP) equipment.
- Develop and implement Equipment Maintenance Strategies (EMS) and support Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programs.
- Evaluate and implement equipment condition monitoring techniques and new technologies.
- Facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and RCM studies using tools such as Weibull and FMEA.
- Monitor asset reliability, maintenance data, and production loss data to prioritize reliability opportunities.
- Perform value engineering for projects, including equipment selection, design, and maintenance input.
- Ensure new equipment is properly integrated into existing systems, tools, and processes prior to service.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
- 5+ years of experience as a maintenance or project engineer within a chemical plant environment.
- Proven success in leading cross-functional teams.
- Experience with applicable building codes and certifications such as NFPA-NEC, API, or ASME.
- Background in analyzing infrared surveys, oil, and vibration data.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
- Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE).
