Reliability Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Define test methods, analytical processes, and product requirements to develop durable, market-leading power tools.
• Collaborate with design engineers and marketing to define product specifications regarding reliable life, durability, and quality.
• Design experimental and analytical techniques to improve development, testing, and qualification efforts.
• Develop new test methods and repeatable procedures for global test labs to evaluate product performance.
• Perform data analysis, post-processing, and visualization of test data, reliability growth, and demonstration.
• Drive root cause analysis and effective corrective/preventative actions with all stakeholders.
• Manage user needs and design requirements through collaboration with product management and user research.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or a related engineering field.
• 2+ years of experience in product development, systems, reliability, test, or quality roles.
• Proficiency in statistical applications such as DOE, FMEA, sampling techniques, regression, and hypothesis testing.
• Experience with life data analysis, reliability distributions, and related software (e.g., Minitab, Reliasoft Weibull++).
• Proficiency in data acquisition systems and analytics software (e.g., Python, nCode Glyphworks, Dewesoft).
• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to travel 5-10% for domestic and international requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with HALT, accelerated life, and other reliability test methods.
• Knowledge of residential and commercial construction phases and associated equipment.
• Experience in systems engineering fundamentals and requirements management.
