About the role
Responsibilities
- Define test methods, analytical processes, and product requirements to develop durable, market-leading power tools.
- Collaborate with design engineers and marketing to define product specifications regarding reliable life, durability, and quality.
- Design experimental and analytical techniques to improve development, testing, and qualification efforts.
- Develop new test methods and repeatable procedures for global test labs to evaluate product performance.
- Perform data analysis, post-processing, and visualization of test data, reliability growth, and demonstration.
- Drive root cause analysis and effective corrective/preventative actions with all stakeholders.
- Manage user needs and design requirements through collaboration with product management and user research.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or a related engineering field.
- 2+ years of experience in product development, systems, reliability, test, or quality roles.
- Proficiency in statistical applications such as DOE, FMEA, sampling techniques, regression, and hypothesis testing.
- Experience with life data analysis, reliability distributions, and related software (e.g., Minitab, Reliasoft Weibull++).
- Proficiency in data acquisition systems and analytics software (e.g., Python, nCode Glyphworks, Dewesoft).
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to travel 5-10% for domestic and international requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HALT, accelerated life, and other reliability test methods.
- Knowledge of residential and commercial construction phases and associated equipment.
- Experience in systems engineering fundamentals and requirements management.
