About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform reliability assessments, including reliability predictions to establish MTBF estimates and component failure rates using 217Plus methodology.
- Conduct Accelerated Stress Testing (AST) and develop Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) profiles, including HALT and HASS.
- Oversee testing, conduct failure review board meetings, and define corrective actions.
- Perform Derating analysis, Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEAs), and Maintainability Assessments.
- Execute High Intensity Radiation Fields (HIRF), Lightning, and Neutron Single Event Upset susceptibility analyses.
- Research and develop new reliability engineering analysis and test methods for sub-90nm technologies, such as multi-core processors and FPGAs.
Requirements
- STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
- U.S. Person status (required due to military contract stipulations).
- Proven knowledge of reliability engineering processes and procedures.
- Strong experience in technical report writing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Basic understanding of Highly Accelerated Life Test (HALT) and Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS) processes.
