About the role

About the Company

Fluidstack is focused on delivering massive-scale compute infrastructure for AI. We acquire power, design and build data centers, and operate them, rethinking every layer of the stack to build civilization-scale infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain reliability block diagrams and fault tree analyses across the full MEP service chain
  • Run Monte Carlo simulations to produce P50/P90/P95/P99 availability distributions
  • Own reliability studies at 30% and 90% design gates for company templates
  • Perform independent reliability assessments of EPC, colocation, and acquired-site designs
  • Manage third-party reliability consultants and review their methodology
  • Maintain reliability models, component data, and audit trails inside Windchill PLM
  • Produce availability statements, sensitivity analyses, and FMEA summaries for legal and investor materials
  • Feed live-site failure data back into models to track modeled vs. measured uptime

Requirements

  • Experience building reliability block diagrams and fault tree analyses for mission-critical electrical and mechanical systems
  • Proficiency running Monte Carlo simulations using PTC Windchill Prediction, ReliaSoft, or equivalent tools
  • Deep understanding of IEEE 493 (Gold Book) and IEEE 3006.5 standards
  • Experience managing reliability models and version control inside PTC Windchill
  • Strong understanding of data center MEP systems including MV/LV distribution, standby generation, UPS, and chilled water plants
  • Ability to translate technical reliability findings into quantitative risk metrics for non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience benchmarking designs against Uptime Institute Tier III/IV classifications
  • Liquid or hybrid cooling reliability modeling experience
  • Experience managing outside engineering firms on a deliverable basis
