Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead improvements in asset safety, reliability, and availability for aerospace manufacturing equipment.
• Define maintenance strategies for new technologies and create spare parts strategies for critical assets.
• Develop and deploy maintenance plans for both new and existing asset introductions.
• Manage asset performance measurement and develop tailored improvement plans for asset groups.
• Support the transition from reactive to proactive maintenance through predictive instruments and methodologies like Condition Based Maintenance and Reliability Centered Maintenance.
• Lead technical problem solving and root cause analysis to minimize breakdown re-occurrence.
• Prepare business cases for improvement and risk reduction projects.
• Ensure legislative compliance and maintain a "safety first" culture within the maintenance engineering team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited university with 5+ years of experience, OR a Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• US Person under ITAR definition or eligible to work in the USA.
• Ability to travel up to 5% domestically and internationally.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Kinston, NC.
