About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead improvements in asset safety, reliability, and availability for aerospace manufacturing equipment.
- Define maintenance strategies for new technologies and create spare parts strategies for critical assets.
- Develop and deploy maintenance plans for both new and existing asset introductions.
- Manage asset performance measurement and develop tailored improvement plans for asset groups.
- Support the transition from reactive to proactive maintenance through predictive instruments and methodologies like Condition Based Maintenance and Reliability Centered Maintenance.
- Lead technical problem solving and root cause analysis to minimize breakdown re-occurrence.
- Prepare business cases for improvement and risk reduction projects.
- Ensure legislative compliance and maintain a "safety first" culture within the maintenance engineering team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited university with 5+ years of experience, OR a Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
- US Person under ITAR definition or eligible to work in the USA.
- Ability to travel up to 5% domestically and internationally.
- Ability to work 100% onsite in Kinston, NC.
