Reliability and Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as the site subject matter expert for PLC and control systems to ensure manufacturing technology is reliable and optimized.
• Provide rapid breakdown support and fault-finding in high-pressure environments.
• Own PLC standards, manage backups, and oversee OT assets to minimize risk and downtime.
• Drive continuous improvement to optimize performance and enhance system capability.
• Ensure robust control system design and compliance with all safety standards.
• Coach and upskill team members while influencing best practices across the site.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Controls or Electrical Engineer.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Siemens PLC systems (S7/TIA Portal).
• Proficiency in working with HMIs, drives, and industrial networks.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and complex control logic.
• Demonstrated ability to perform fault-finding in high-pressure situations.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing PLC backups and working within OT environments.
• Background in high-volume manufacturing settings.
• Experience in asset management and risk mitigation.
