Reinsurance Pricing Actuary

Responsibilities

• Perform pricing of reinsurance treaties by analyzing client-specific data and documenting methodologies and results
• Collaborate closely with the underwriting team and represent Sompo in client and broker meetings
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of actuarial tools
• Provide analysis of actuarial model parameters, such as exposure curves and trends
• Execute actuarial projects including market studies and profitability analyses

Requirements

• Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or an equivalent field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in reinsurance pricing, preferably in casualty or motor lines
• Strong proficiency in Excel
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain findings in non-actuarial language
• Fluent in English and proficient in at least one other language (Spanish or French is a plus)
• Strong analytical capabilities and independent thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Programming skills in C#, SQL, or Visual Basic
