Reinstatement Team Leader and Operative

Responsibilities

• Maintain own and others health and safety
• Report accidents, near misses, faults, damages or defects
• Carry out safety checks and inspections on vehicles, plant, equipment and sites
• Undertake duties to appropriate quality standards
• Ensure work is undertaken with due regard to the environment and site cleanliness
• Excavate using safe digging methods to facilitate reinstatement of highways
• Reinstate highways and footpaths using materials and methods in accordance with HAUC specifications
• Manhandle materials, plant and equipment
• Drive company vehicles and operate mobile plant for authorised business purposes
• Maintain road signs, barriers and cones to Chapter 8 standard
• Assist members of the public and client representatives

Requirements

• Manual Handling certification
• Disc cutter operation skills
• Mobile plant operation experience
• New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) Units 1-9
