About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with identifying treatment and recovery goals and provide supportive services to help them reach those goals
- Implement services identified in Individual Service Plans and coordinate rehabilitation-related services
- Communicate and document client progress toward recovery
- Use brief clinical interventions, Motivational Interviewing, and supportive listening skills to engage clients
- Promote a safe recovery environment and embrace the recovery philosophy
- Engage and provide direct support to clients' natural support systems
- Partner with Employment Specialists and Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors to assist clients with employment, education, and meaningful daily activities
Requirements
- Minimum combination of education and experience: Associate degree in behavioral health OR High School Diploma/GED with 3 years experience OR Bachelor's degree with 1 year experience OR Bachelor's degree in behavioral health OR Master's degree or higher in behavioral health
- Valid Arizona Driver License
- Must be at least 21 years of age with a minimum of 4 years of driving experience
- Ability to obtain an Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance card
- Minimum typing speed of 25 wpm
- Ability to pass a background check, TB test, and other pre-employment screenings
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of supervised experience as a Rehabilitation Specialist, Employment Specialist, or Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor
- Basic understanding of the DSM-V
