About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist professional staff with patient care under direct clinical supervision.
- Communicate promptly to therapists regarding any observed changes in patient status or distress.
- Manage and operate equipment safely, including cleaning and maintaining equipment logs.
- Perform clerical duties such as scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling patient visits.
- Handle administrative tasks including obtaining patient consents, updating demographic/insurance information, and collecting co-payments.
- Manage clinic inventory and process billing information or fax documentation to insurance companies.
- Follow all infection control policies, standard precautions, and documentation procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Previous experience working in a healthcare setting.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Bilingual skills.
