Rehab Aide

Responsibilities

• Assist physical and occupational therapists with patient care and treatment plans
• Apply therapeutic modalities such as heat packs and assist with exercise equipment
• Monitor patient motion and guide them through prescribed exercises
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment
• Ensure proper operation and basic maintenance of physical therapy equipment
• Manage inventory of physical therapy supplies and restocking
• Observe and report patient progress to supervising therapists
• Assist with patient transfers and repositioning
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients

Requirements

• College degree or equivalent education in a related field
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical environment
• Physical stamina to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve at least 30 pounds
• Proficiency in transferring and repositioning patients safely
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and rehabilitation concepts
• Basic computer skills for electronic records and inventory management
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain
