Regulatory Product Compliance & Risk Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to collaborate with product managers and engineers to develop new products and features for North America
• Ensure effective risk assessments are conducted and regulatory compliance risks are reviewed prior to product launch
• Manage state money transmission licensing requirements, including Permissible Investments and Regulatory Reporting
• Oversee consumer compliance regulations such as Regulation E, UDAAP, CCPA, and GLBA
• Support the closure of regulatory compliance issues by building or enhancing existing controls
• Execute quarterly regulatory compliance risk assessments and present results to regional and global Risk Committees
• Develop and enhance Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to monitor the health of the Regulatory Compliance Program
• Provide confidence to bank partners, auditors, and regulators regarding product offerings and compliance programs

Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in regulatory compliance, specifically focusing on implementing and enhancing controls
• Proven experience leading and scaling teams, including growing both team size and impact
• Significant experience collaborating with product and engineering teams to develop compliance controls
• Deep expertise in cross-border payments, specifically within the US and Canadian markets
• Strong data analytics skills used to develop and inform Key Risk Indicators
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex regulatory frameworks and communicate them clearly to stakeholders
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• Willingness to travel to Wise offices located in different countries
