Regulatory Oversight VP

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of prudential regulatory compliance regarding advanced Model permissions and second line of defense reviews for regulatory capital and liquidity returns.
• Advise on regulations by owning the interpretation of specific parts of the Prudential Rulebook and managing escalations.
• Communicate key regulatory themes, concerns, and guidance to senior Risk management.
• Manage internal governance for adherence to regulatory permissions and maintain a central Permissions library.
• Coordinate, review, and challenge Model and Rating System Applications/Notifications.
• Provide accurate and consistent information to regulatory supervision teams to support transparent communication with regulators.
• Manage and mitigate risks through assessment in support of the control and governance agenda.

Requirements

• Experience with regulatory compliance self-attestation processes and reviewing submissions for alignment with requirements.
• Strong understanding of the regulatory permissions process, including applications and amendments.
• Proven ability to implement risk management policies, standards, procedures, and controls.
• Expertise in risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and identifying emerging risks.
• Strong assertive communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and regulators.
• Experience in managing risk inventories and governance documentation.

• Ability to provide in-depth analysis and interpretative thinking to solve complex problems.
• Experience in leading collaborative, multi-year assignments and guiding technical direction.
• Strong influencing and negotiating skills to build trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing risk and strengthening controls within a functional area.
