Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, in particular under MiCAR, MiFID, and PSD II
• Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and audits to identify potential areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions
• Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments, providing guidance to the business on necessary compliance adjustments
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, including training and awareness programs
• Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory reports and documentation to ensure timely compliance with reporting obligations
• Support the business in obtaining and maintaining necessary licenses and regulatory approvals in Austria

Requirements

• Law degree (LLB, JD, Mag. iur., LL.M., or equivalent)
• Minimum of 3 years of legal experience, preferably in-house, regulatory authority, financial firm, or law firm
• Work experience in Austria and/or Germany preferred
• Strong understanding of Austrian and EU laws (MiCAR, MiFID, E-Money Directive, Payment Services Directive)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, regulated environment
