Regulatory Compliance Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide regulatory oversight of S65 approved collective investment schemes represented in South Africa.
• Maintain oversight of business obligations as a local representative/regulatory contact in terms of Section 65 of CISCA.
• Monitor scheme structures, approvals, and ongoing compliance status to ensure alignment with FSCA conditions.
• Conduct ongoing compliance monitoring against CISCA, FSCA standards, and guidance notes.
• Review scheme documentation, including prospectuses, supplements, and marketing material.
• Identify, assess, and escalate regulatory breaches, risks, or emerging compliance issues.
• Act as a key point of contact with the FSCA on S65 related matters and regulatory correspondence.
• Provide regulatory guidance to internal stakeholders and offshore fund managers.
• Contribute to governance and risk reporting, including compliance dashboards and risk assessments.
• Support internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, and due diligence reviews.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of Fund Accounting experience.
• Direct exposure to Life Funds.
• Bachelor's degree in Law, Commerce, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
