Regulatory Compliance Specialist

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day compliance execution for assigned regulators, including filings, reporting cadences, and regulator-facing actions
• Draft, review, and submit regulatory filings such as license applications, annual reports, tariff filings, and EQR submissions
• Track rulemakings and dockets across active jurisdictions to flag business-model implications
• Build and maintain internal compliance frameworks across consumer protection, marketing review, and contract authorization
• Partner with Launch, Deployment, and Member Experience teams to operationalize regulatory requirements

Requirements

• 3+ years of regulatory experience at a utility, retail electric provider, alternative supplier, ISO/RTO, state commission, or regulatory consulting firm
• Direct experience filing before state utility commissions
• Working knowledge of ISO/RTO markets and their rules
• Ability to read administrative code and tariffs and translate them into operational requirements
• Strong written communication skills for drafting regulatory documents
• Project management instinct and comfort in fast-moving, unstructured environments

Preferred Qualifications

• FERC Order 2222 implementation experience
• DER aggregation experience
• Distributed battery storage regulatory experience
