Regulatory Compliance Manager

Responsibilities

• Propose, set up, and manage robust product and license governance frameworks for current and upcoming RBI licenses.
• Act as a key internal consultant, reviewing the impact of new regulations and partnering with cross-functional teams on implementation.
• Drive regulatory projects related to license applications, updates, and regulatory constructs to support evolving product frameworks.
• Perform continuous horizon scanning and maintain the Regulatory Obligations Register (ROR).
• Independently manage accurate and timely regulatory reporting to the RBI.
• Lead regulatory audits, internal/external inspections, and coordinate periodic governance and stakeholder review meetings.
• Monitor compliance risks and KPIs, identify control gaps, and lead effective remediation plans.
• Manage regulatory filing portals, respond to information requests, and handle all regulatory communications.

Requirements

• 7 to 12 years of experience in regulatory compliance, regulatory reporting, or related roles.
• Proven experience within fintech, payments, cross-border remittance, or financial services.
• In-depth knowledge of the Indian regulatory framework, specifically payment system regulations and FEMA requirements.
• Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt swiftly to a fast-paced environment.
• Educational background in CA, MBA (Finance), Law, or a related field.
