About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit state license renewal applications, annual reports, and other maintenance filings.
- Own NMLS MSB Call Report preparation end-to-end, including data capture and quality assurance.
- Assist in preparing for regulatory examinations by managing information requests and coordinating documentation.
- Support internal governance activities and the preparation of materials for board and committee meetings.
- Establish and maintain regulatory planning tools and calendars using platforms like Asana or LogicGate.
- Conduct research on regulatory developments and contribute to internal process documentation and playbooks.
- Leverage AI tools and workflow automation to improve the efficiency of compliance operations.
Requirements
- 1–3+ years of experience in compliance, legal, regulatory affairs, or financial services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail when managing multiple deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for drafting regulatory correspondence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with US money transmission licensing (state MTLs, NYDFS BitLicense) or trust company regulation.
- Experience with GRC platforms such as LogicGate.
- Data handling skills with Excel, Tableau, or Python.
- Previous work experience at a financial services regulatory agency (e.g., NYDFS or state banking departments).
- Experience in the payments or digital assets industry.
