Regulatory Analyst

Responsibilities

• Drive daily operations supporting product development, legislative compliance, and regulatory filings.
• Respond to inquiries from state insurance departments, federal regulators, and internal stakeholders.
• Research, review, and interpret laws, regulations, and bulletins to determine business impact.
• Provide subject matter expertise for new product development and draft compliant contract text.
• Manage regulatory filings, including product form, rate, and single-case filings.
• Coordinate and investigate consumer complaints and regulatory market conduct examinations.
• Summarize regulatory issues and communicate findings to operational business partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or 3-5 years of related business experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of regulatory experience.
• Proficient understanding of the insurance industry and its compliance environment.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with SharePoint and data analytics/reporting.
• Experience with process improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with Unum Group and its insuring subsidiaries.
