Registered Veterinary Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient triage, assessing conditions and prioritizing care
• Restrain and handle animals safely during examinations and procedures
• Collect and analyze laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and tissue
• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays and ultrasounds
• Provide nursing care for medical and hospitalized cases
• Administer medications as prescribed by veterinarians
• Prepare animals and equipment for surgical procedures and assist in anesthetic management
• Communicate treatment plans effectively with pet owners
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and manage medical records

Requirements

• Active Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license
• Proficiency in anesthesia administration and surgical monitoring
• Expertise in safe and low-stress animal restraint techniques
• Experience in radiographic positioning and image capture
• Proficiency in various sample collection methods
• Strong client communication and medical record management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and availability to work weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year of professional veterinary experience
